Responsible for all public relations and communications functions (media relations, annual report, quarterly newsletter, tours and speeches, etc.).  Developed annual giving special events, direct mail campaigns and media strategies for unsolicited gifts. Supervised the Holiday and Summer Food Drives, raising more than 12 million pounds of food and millions of dollars annually. Named the prototype letter carriers' food drive "Stamp Out Hunger," a tag now used nationally. 
Responsible for fundraising, special events, public relations, brand management and all internal and external communications functions. 
Created and executed direct mail fundraising campaigns (first campaign raised 42% more revenue than any previous campaign). 
Publicized and managed the nation's largest holiday food drive, maintaining relations with 1400+ corporate and business donors, CEO volunteers, media and financial sponsors and 20 logistics/warehouse staff.

Project Hogar raised money and volunteers to help build or remodel five orphanages for girls in Oaxaca, Mexico, to fund scholarships at a Jesuit vocational school for young women, and to fund the Niño a Niño rural teacher education workshops.  In 1992, UNESCO called Project Hogar's Niño a Niño program one of the two most effective grassroots public health education programs in the world. It continues its work today with major support from Palo Alto's Neighbors Abroad.

Mangold Productions (MP) produced multi-image shows for art, entertainment, education and corporate communications, including IBM, Syva/Syntex, National Semiconductor, Intel, California Academy of Sciences, Worlds of Wonder Toys (Teddy Ruxpin), Peterbilt, Transamerica and others; MP produced soundtracks for films, videos and slide shows; MP produced photography for annual reports, brochures, print ads, slide shows, calendars and record labels.  Mangold was principal photographer and associate producer of Radiance: The Experience of Light by Dorothy Fadiman, which won the Miami Film Festival Gold Award, among others.  He produced Dr. Stanislav Grof's show "LSD Psychotherapy: The Death-Rebirth Experience."  Mangold taught nature and travel photography workshops for Nature Expeditions International, Foothill College, UC Santa Cruz Extension, the Pt. Reyes Bird Observatory and others.
