Steve Grove

Steve Grove is the Commissioner of Employment & Economic Development at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, where he focuses on growing the state's workforce, closing the opportunity gap, and supporting business growth. Prior to this role, Grove spent 12 years at Google, notably as the founding director of Google's News Lab, leading global partnerships in the news industry. He has a background in journalism, having worked at The Boston Globe and ABC News. Grove is also involved in various nonprofit organizations and holds a master's in public policy from Harvard University and a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Claremont McKenna College. He co-founded Silicon North Stars, a nonprofit aiding youth in pursuing tech careers.
