Steve Flinter

Steve Flinter is the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at Mastercard Labs, a position he has held since March 2020. He is currently based in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, he leads the strategy and execution of AI and ML technologies for new product development at Mastercard, as well as overseeing research and development efforts in emerging technologies, including Quantum Computing.1

Flinter has over 20 years of experience in the IT sector, having previously served as the Director of Practice Lead for AI & ML at Mastercard Labs and as the Director of Mastercard Start Path, where he contributed to the startup engagement initiative. His background also includes significant work with Science Foundation Ireland, where he managed substantial funding for scientific research projects.1

In July 2023, he was promoted to Distinguished Engineer (SVP) at Mastercard, indicating recognition of his expertise and contributions within the company.12
