Steve Escalante is the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bandidos, a new indie game publishing company he co-founded with Lance James. Before establishing Digital Bandidos, Escalante was the general manager and founder of Versus Evil, a company that was acquired by TinyBuild and subsequently closed in December 2023. With nearly 25 years of experience in the gaming industry, Escalante has a strong background in publishing, having overseen the release of over 400 projects across various platforms, including PC, console, and mobile games.123

Digital Bandidos aims to support indie developers by focusing on publishing games with budgets of up to $3 million, particularly in the RPG, strategy, and action genres. The company emphasizes a collaborative approach, leveraging Escalante's extensive experience to provide funding and expertise to help developers bring their games to market. One of their initial projects includes the mobile adaptation of the social deduction game "Town of Salem 2".145
