Steve Dowling

Steve Dowling is an experienced professional with expertise in Directed Energy (DE) and radar target modeling and simulation, specializing in testing at indoor and outdoor test ranges.

He is skilled in using various electromagnetic prediction tools such as Wireless InSite (GO/UTD), PO/PTD, MOM, and FEM for DE research.

His background includes modeling missile defense scenarios with the SLAMEM software suite and airborne surveillance sensors like SAR, GMTI, and EO/IR for ISR applications.

Steve has experience in modeling ATC, search, and target acquisition radar systems using ALARM software.

He pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Northern Arizona University, and studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The University of New Mexico.

Steve has held various roles in organizations such as Oasis Systems as a Systems Engineer and Task Lead, Equity New Mexico Real Estate as a Realtor, Al's Taco Shop as a Test Engineer, and Transcore - Amtech Technology Center as a Systems Engineer IV.

His previous roles also include positions at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems as a Software Engineer V, Entek, Inc. in the Modeling and Simulation Division as a Sr. Systems Engineer, Baker Hughes INTEQ as a Hardware Design Engineer, and McDonnell Douglas Technologies, Inc. as a Sr. RCS Design Engineer.
