Steve Crossan

Steve Crossan is an entrepreneur and investor actively engaged at the intersection of AI and biotech. He serves as an Operating Partner at DCVC and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) at Danaher Life Sciences.1 Additionally, he is a board advisor for Riverlane, a quantum error correction company.1

Previously, Crossan helped build GSK's AI organization focused on early discovery. He also led the product team responsible for integrating DeepMind's technology into Google and was a founding member of DeepMind's AlphaFold team.1 His experience at Google includes work on Google Maps, Gmail, and Google Search.1

Crossan's educational background includes:

• Master's degree in computer science from University College London
• Undergraduate degree in history from the University of Oxford1

He is fluent in both English (native or bilingual proficiency) and French (full professional proficiency).2 Crossan has also served as a Board Member for The Collections Trust (March 2013 - March 2017) and is currently a Board Member for The Climate Subak (April 2020 - Present).2

Recently, Crossan has been involved in discussions about climate policy in the UK, as evidenced by his participation in an Earthset event in central London on February 6, 2024.3
