Steve joined The Davis Companies in March 2017 as a Managing Director. Steve leads equity capital raising for all company investment and development initiatives. He oversees the Investor Relations team and has primary responsibility for all investor communications, as well as managing, maintaining and expanding Davis’ investor, consultant and distribution relationships. Steve leads Investor Relations and Equity Capital Markets for the firm.  Steve has proactively raised more than $3BN in equity capital since joining Davis in early-2017, including raising of $977.1MM for Davis Investment Ventures Fund V, $777.5MM for Davis Investment Ventures Fund IV, initiating a $260MM recapitalization for Davis Investment Ventures Fund II, and raising approximately $340MM in co-investment equity capital for Funds III, IV and V.  Steve works with more than 800 of the firm's active investors and has primary responsibility for all investor communications, as well as managing, maintaining and expanding The Davis Companies' investor, consultant and distribution relationships.

Steve joined Bentall Kennedy in December 2013 as a Portfolio Manager and focused on core, core+ and value-added real estate investing on behalf of the firm's clients. Steve was the key U.S. point person for the C$560MM sale of Bentall Kennedy to Sun Life. Steve also identified and worked closely with Hodes Weill, who represented Bentall Kennedy during the sales process.  Steve also successfully secured a new separate account with a Middle Eastern client during his tenure.  Steve also assisted Doug Poutasse and the research team with strategic thinking and publishing key research articles and presentations.

Steve was one of the key principles that established and grew Citi Property Investors from 2002-2008, helping the firm reach more than $8BN in AUM. . Steve functioned as the Chief Strategist for Citigroup Property Investors and their flagship funds and was the Founder and leader of the real estate multi-manager practice at Citigroup Alternative Investments.  Steve was an investment committee, executive committee and management team voting member.
