Currently, Steve serves as the President of Nashville Public Media and has previously held the position of Editor at Nashville Scene and Washington City Paper.

His expertise extends to design, reporting, and leadership, as evidenced by his roles as Assistant Design Editor at Nashville Banner and Director at Tennessee Coalition For Open Government.

Steve has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Belmont University.
