Steve Calvin

Steve Calvin is a highly experienced Medical Director known for his work at the Minnesota Birth Center and the BirthBundle program.

With a strong belief in providing high-quality midwife-directed care to all mothers and babies, Steve Calvin has made significant contributions to the field of maternity and newborn care.

Steve's dedication to improving outcomes for mothers and infants led to his appointment to the U.S. HHS Secretary's Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality in 2019.

His educational background includes a MD in Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis, a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and a BS in Chemistry from Bethel University.

Steve has held key positions in various organizations including the US HHS Secretary's Advisory Committee on Infant Mortality, The Minnesota Birth Center, Southside Community Health Services, Bethel University, Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Minnesota Perinatal Physicians, The University of Arizona, and El Rio Neighborhood Health Center in Tucson, AZ.
