Steve Black is an entrepreneurial investor and co-founder with extensive experience in building companies and nurturing innovative ideas for over a decade.

Currently, he is dedicated to developing Smart Society Ventures, which focuses on supporting revolutionary AI and software-driven solutions aimed at decarbonizing the planet.

Steve Black pursued his education at Northwestern University, where he studied Industrial Engineering and Economics, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.

Throughout his career, Steve held various key positions such as Founding General Partner at Smart Society Ventures, Investor at companies like Casper Labs, Separa, Ryp Labs, Caban, GreyscaleAI, and Pratexo.

He also contributed his expertise as an Advisor and Fractional CSO at AquaPrawnics, Co-founder of Product & Strategy at EcoSmart Labs, Co-Founder & Strategic Advisor at Topia, and Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Topia.

Before these roles, Steve Black served as an Associate Partner at Oliver Wyman, showcasing his diverse professional background and leadership skills.
