Stephen Wood
Senior Scientist, Agriculture and Food Systems at The Nature Conservancy
Stephen Wood is a highly accomplished individual dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture for environmental impact. With a background in soil ecology, Stephen holds a PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology from Columbia University, an M.E.Sc in Ecology and Economics from Yale School of the Environment, and a B.A. in Philosophy from The George Washington University. Stephen has held various key positions in prestigious organizations, including Senior Scientist at The Nature Conservancy, Associate Research Scientist at Yale School of the Environment, Applied Scientist at The Nature Conservancy, and NatureNet Science Fellow at Yale School of the Environment. Prior to these roles, Stephen contributed to Agriculture Extension initiatives as an Agent at the Peace Corps in Senegal, conducted research as a Staff Research Assistant at The Brookings Institution, and gained valuable experience as a Trade Intern at Oxfam America.
