Stephen Tang

Stephen Tang is an accomplished Board Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and civic leader with over 30 years of experience in leading for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

He possesses strengths in leadership, moral fortitude, general management, entrepreneurship, business strategy, applied technology, and deal making.

Stephen Tang holds an M.B.A. in Strategy, Finance & Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School, along with several honorary doctorate degrees and degrees in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Biology.

Throughout his career, Stephen Tang has been actively involved in various organizations, serving in leadership roles such as Chairman of the Board of Directors at NOWDiagnostics, Member of the Board of Trustees at Lehigh University, and Corporate Advisor at Tangent2Cogent LLC.

He has also contributed to numerous boards and committees, including those at Population Services International, Life Sciences Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Stephen Tang has a strong background in academia, having served as Dean's Professor at Mayes College of Healthcare Business and Policy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and as a Fellow at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.

His significant leadership roles include President & CEO of OraSure Technologies, President & Chief Executive Officer of University City Science Center, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Committee of Seventy.
