Stephen Rodan

Stephen Rodan is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse background in engineering and education. He currently serves as the President of the Beyond Coral Foundation and is the inventor of CHARM, the coral farming robot. Stephen is pursuing a Master of Engineering degree with a focus on Technology & Management at James Cook University, building upon his previous education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Physics. His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Stephen Rodan's professional experience is equally impressive, having worked as a Mechanical Systems Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and as a Research Affiliate for the Sea Grant College Program at MIT. He has also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant for courses like Iterative Interaction Design and Engineering, Innovation, and Design at MIT. Furthermore, Stephen has conducted research as a Research Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the MIT Media Lab. His dedication to education is evident through his roles as a Lab Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Residential Advisor at MIT, as well as his experience as an SAT Tutor & Teaching Assistant at Capital Educators.
