Stephen Johnson

Stephen Johnson is an accomplished higher education leader with a strong background in theological studies and a deep commitment to the Christian tradition. He possesses a proven track record of delivering effective strategic and business leadership in the growth of professional education, and integrating innovative approaches to analyze and solve complex challenges. Johnson's leadership strengths include a theological and spiritual commitment, collaborative, trust-based leadership, a strategic vision, innovation in complex challenges, an established history of revenue growth, and experience building corporate partnerships. He has studied extensively in theological and ministerial studies, biblical and related studies, and has advanced degrees in practical theology and ministerial leadership.

Johnson is Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Dallas campus of Abilene Christian University, where he previously served as Dean of the Graduate School and Honors College, Associate Professor of Practical Theology, Director of Contextual Education, and Assistant Professor of Preaching and Worship. Before his academic career, he served in congregational ministry at Churches of Christ.
