Stephen Gordon

Stephen Gordon is an accomplished technology advisor and entrepreneur currently serving as an Advisor at Metalenz since December 2022. He has a strong background in engineering and technology, with a focus on startups and innovation.

Education and Early Career

Gordon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Amherst College and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He began his career in the tech industry, where he has accumulated over 20 years of experience in various roles, including software engineering and management.

Professional Experience

Before his role at Metalenz, Gordon was the Head of Software at Amazon Lab126, where he led a large team focused on developing battery-powered security cameras. He also founded and served as CTO of Immedia Semiconductor, which was acquired by Amazon, and has held leadership positions at Broadcom and other tech companies.

In addition to his advisory role at Metalenz, Gordon is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, contributing to engineering education and innovation initiatives since 2018. He is recognized for his expertise in areas such as video compression, image processing, and advanced technologies relevant to national security.123
