Stephen Goldsmith
Stephen Goldsmith is a dynamic and innovative leader with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. As a renowned expert in public-private partnerships and data smart solutions, he has earned a national reputation for improving organizations' fiscal and operational performance. Goldsmith served as the Mayor of Indianapolis, where he became known for his efficiency and successful efforts in neighborhood revitalization. He also acted as a Deputy Mayor of Operations for New York City and served as a White House Special Advisor to President George W. Bush. As the Chair of the Corporation for National and Community Service, Goldsmith has advised public and private boards on strategic planning, public policy trend assessment, corporate governance, and operational leadership. With a background in Law from the University of Michigan and studies at Wabash College, Goldsmith currently serves as a Derek Bok Professor of the Practice of Urban Policy at Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has worked as a Senior Advisor at SGoldsmith Consulting, Managing Director, Public and Higher Education sector at Huron Consulting Group, Deputy Mayor at City of New York, and Special Advisor to President G. W. Bush on Faith and Non-Profit Initiatives at the White House, among other notable positions.
