Stephanie Fry

Stephanie Fry is a dedicated advocate for sustainability and positive change, focusing on reducing single-use coffee cups from daily use.

With over 15 years of experience, Stephanie has successfully grown two sustainable businesses, Celcius Coffee and IdealCup, in partnership with reputable New Zealand organizations.

Together with her husband Nick, Stephanie launched Celcius Coffee in 2004, becoming New Zealand's first carbon neutral coffee company, and later introduced IdealCup in 2008, the country's first lifetime reusable cup.

IdealCup, a product showcasing a genuine circular economy business model, holds the Environmental Choice Certification, indicating it as the most environmentally preferable reusable cup in Aotearoa.

Stephanie's focus is now on IdealCup, while Nick manages Celcius Coffee.

In addition to the innovative product, Stephanie developed CupCycling, a reusable cup swap system using IdealCup, with a strong emphasis on waste reduction, community, and social impact.

Stephanie has successfully extended CupCycling to corporate businesses, partnering with companies like BNZ and NZ Post, offering a cost-effective solution to reduce single-use waste.

Product Stewardship is a key focus for Stephanie, ensuring the effective management of IdealCup's end-of-life phase by grinding down old cups to create new ones.

Stephanie's dedication to sustainability and creating positive economic, social, and environmental outcomes shines through her work at IdealCup and Celcius Coffee.
