Stephanie Amoako

Stephanie Amoako is a highly accomplished Senior Policy Associate at Accountability Counsel, boasting an extensive background in the non-profit and NGO sector in both the United States and abroad. With a focus on business and human rights, non-judicial grievance mechanisms, minority rights, transitional justice, and rule of law development, Amoako possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise, along with a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School, a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Master of Laws in International Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam.

Prior to her tenure at Accountability Counsel, Amoako held several positions in the non-profit sector, including Acting Policy Director, Policy Associate, and Law Fellow at organizations such as the Public International Law & Policy Group and The International Legal Foundation. Additionally, she gained experience as an intern at UNDP Maldives - Integrated Governance Programme, Lutheran Social Services of New York, Research Center on Labor Relations and Inequality (CEERT), and Catholic Charities. She also served as the Healthy Beginnings Program Coordinator at YWCA Greensboro and a member of AmeriCorps ACCESS Project.
