Stephan Kuester

Stephan Kuester is a highly experienced marketing and consulting leader with over two decades of experience in building global brands and driving sustainable sales growth. He started his career as a strategy consultant and later went on to become the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Business Development for Central Europe and the EMEIA region at professional services firms Andersen and EY. He is currently the Head of Consulting at Startup Genome, where he works with government leaders, international corporations, venture capital firms, and tech entrepreneurs from around the world to develop innovative ecosystem strategies that foster collaboration and drive the growth of startup and tech innovation clusters.

Kuester is passionate about designing and implementing effective strategies that build brands, create new market opportunities, and improve client service and operational excellence. His core competencies include marketing and business strategy, market and competitive intelligence, market positioning and customer proposition, account-based marketing, business development and account management, performance management, and budget and P&L responsibility.

Kuester studied Strategic Marketing Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Executive Education Data Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and General Economics at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. He has also held various leadership roles at organizations such as Tech Nation and digitalswitzerland.
