Steph Mui
Founder and CEO at PIN | Stanford GSB, UChicago alum
Steph Mui is the Founder and CEO of PIN (Power in Numbers), a venture-backed company that enables communities to invest in startups together.12 She founded PIN in March 2022, with the company being backed by notable investors such as Initialized Capital, NEA, and Industry.13
Prior to founding PIN, Steph's career included:
- Consumer VC & Growth Investor at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) from 2016 to 2018.1
- Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan from 2014 to 2016.1
- MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, completed in 2020.1
Steph is passionate about democratizing access to early-stage investing and increasing opportunities for people to become founders and startup investors.2 Her experience in venture capital at NEA, where she helped invest over $150 million, has informed her approach to building PIN.24
In addition to her work with PIN, Steph co-founded the GSB 2020 | Fund, an investment club that raised $1.5 million from 175 Stanford GSB classmates to invest in startups founded by their peers.1
Steph holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and has experience in various roles, including internships at Amazon, Atomic, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.12
