Stefano Lise

Stefano Lise is a skilled research scientist in bioinformatics, specializing in next generation sequencing data analysis and cancer genomics. With a strong publication record, Stefano has held key positions in prestigious organizations.

Having studied Physics at Università degli Studi di Padova, Stefano pursued a PhD in Condensed Matter Theory at Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati di Trieste, followed by an M.RES in Modelling Biological Complexity at UCL.

Throughout his career, Stefano Lise has contributed significantly as Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at UCL and held leadership roles such as Head Bioinformatician at The Institute of Cancer Research. His expertise also led him to serve as Joint Acting Head at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford, in the Bioinformatics and Statistical Genetics Core division.

Stefano's professional journey includes key roles at the cutting edge of bioinformatics, including being the Head of High Throughput Bioinformatics and a High Throughput Sequencing Bioinformatician at Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford. He has also enriched his experience as a Visiting Research Fellow at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory and as a Senior Research Fellow at University College London.
