Stefan Parhofer is a highly-experienced General Manager in SME's (Mittelstand) & Start-Ups, with over two decades of CEO & CFO experience managing revenues of more than USD 150mn. Possessing an MBA in Management from Wake Forest University School of Business and a PhD in physics from the Technische Universität Dresden, Stefan brings a unique combination of technical understanding and business acumen to the table. With a strong background in Renewable Energy / PV, he has hands-on experience in building organizations and implementing business procedures. As an accomplished multilingual professional, Stefan is fluent in German, English, and Spanish, and has working knowledge of French and Italian. He has previous experience in strategy development, technology assessment, and Corporate Finance.

Stefan's career history spans across several organizations, including Smartenergy, where he is currently Chief Investment Officer. He has also worked as a Medical Doctor and Co-Founder at Palitree, a Senior Consultant at Siemens, and a Research Fellow at Siemens. Additionally, Stefan has held senior leadership positions such as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Smartenergy and Solartec AG, respectively. He has also served as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Gehrlicher Solar and as Managing Director at Simonsvoss Technologies GmbH.
