Stanislav Komanec

Stanislav Komanec started his journey at Kiwi.com in 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer, where he actively contributed to crucial projects related to booking systems amidst the rapid growth of the company. His expertise and field knowledge led him to be promoted to the role of Technical Team Leader. Stanislav's notable achievement includes developing a highly available API for internal and external booking systems. With time, he advanced to become the Head of the Platform, overseeing the engineering teams to enhance software delivery at Kiwi.com.

In his role, Stanislav emphasizes the importance of delivering better software quicker by focusing on key aspects like resilience, readability, testing, security, and scalability. His dedication is reflected in his motto, 'Well done is better than well said,' inspired by Benjamin Franklin.

Stanislav Komanec pursued a Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics in 2015 from Masarykova univerzita Brno, and he studied Mathematics at Gymnasium Veľká okružná, Žilina, specializing in mathematics.

Throughout his career, Stanislav held various roles at Kiwi.com, such as Vice President Of Engineering - Platform, Head of Platform, Technical Team Leader, and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to joining Kiwi.com, he gained experience as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Videoflot, a Python/PHP Developer at Kodárna, and a PHP Programmer as a Freelancer.
