Stacy Wakeford

Stacy Wakeford is an accomplished museum executive with a strong background in design and interpretation, boasting over 25 years of experience in the field.
Throughout her career, Stacy has held various key positions in museum executive roles, including Director of Content at the Canadian Museum of Nature, Director of Visitor Experience at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and Chief of Collections Management and Outreach at the National Gallery of Canada.
Stacy's educational journey includes a Bachelor of Industrial Design, a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature, and a Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Art & Culture, all from Carleton University.
With a proven track record in the museum sector, Stacy has also served as the Executive Director of Strategic Engagement at the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation, where she also held roles such as Director of Exhibitions and Programs, Manager of Exhibit Interpretation, and Director of Exhibitions.
In addition to her executive roles, Stacy has shared her expertise as a Sessional Lecturer in the Museum Studies Program at Algonquin College and has prior experience as a Web Designer at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Graphic Designer at various organizations, and Designer/Office Manager at Mackenzie Krusberg Design.
