Stacy Bare
Stacy Bare is an accomplished adventurer, consultant, and former military officer with a track record of turning ambitious visions into reality. Stacy studied Philosophy at the University of Mississippi and earned a Master's in City and Regional Planning, Urban Design, and Development from the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, leading teams through challenging environments in the U.S. and abroad, such as Iraq and Southeast Asia. Later, he founded a nonprofit organization, Veterans Expeditions, which offers outdoor adventures to veterans struggling with PTSD or reintegrating into civilian life.
He's worked as a Mayoral Fellow for the City of Chicago, coordinated military and veteran affairs programs for the Sierra Club, directed national programs and served as COO at Veterans Green Jobs, and served on the Board of Directors for the American Alpine Club. He's also acted as the Brand Champion for The North Face, where he helped lead the company's "Explore Mode" initiative, and as a Distribution Specialist for Specialized Bicycle Components.
Stacy's expertise in building teams, project management, and visioning is highly valued in many sectors, including outdoor recreation, sustainability, and veteran services. He is a connector and collaborator, bringing together stakeholders to achieve audacious goals.
