Srinath Tirumale Venugopal is an accomplished leader within the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), currently serving as the Regional Director for the Eurasia Support Centre. He was appointed to this role on August 1, 2019, succeeding Iurie Emilian. His appointment followed a thorough selection process involving the Regional Scout Committee, and he has been recognized for his dedication to advancing Scouting in the Eurasia region.1
Srinath's journey in Scouting began in India, where he developed a strong foundation through his early involvement and subsequent volunteer roles in the Asia-Pacific Scout Region. He has been with the World Scout Bureau since 2005, taking on various significant positions, including Executive Director of the Office of the Secretary General from 2015 to 2017, and more recently, serving as the Interim Coordinator for the Eurasia Support Centre in Kiev.12
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Post Graduate Degree in Development Management. His professional background reflects a commitment to revitalizing and steering international organizations towards success, particularly in the realm of youth development and community engagement through Scouting.3
