Sriidhar Kota

Sridhar Kota is a prominent engineer and academic, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Triskele Robotics. He is also a Herrick Professor of Engineering at the University of Michigan, where he has been involved in teaching and research since 1987. His areas of expertise include engineering design, bio-inspired compliant design, and soft robotics, among others. Kota has authored over 250 technical papers and holds more than 35 patents, reflecting his significant contributions to the field of mechanical engineering.1

In addition to his academic role, Kota is the Executive Director of MForesight, a national consortium focused on enhancing U.S. manufacturing competitiveness. His leadership in this organization involves collaborating with experts from various sectors to inform policies and investments in advanced manufacturing.1

Kota's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, a Master's in Materials Engineering from the University of Mississippi, and both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.1 He has received numerous awards for his work, including the ASME Leonardo Da Vinci Award and the Regents' Award for Distinguished Public Service from the University of Michigan.1
