Dr. Sriram (Sri) Kalyanaraman is a distinguished professor at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications with a Ph.D. from Penn State University. He is renowned for his pioneering work in the field of media effects and technology, as well as his role as the founding director of the Media Effects and Technology Lab (METL).
At METL, Dr. Kalyanaraman delves into experimental research exploring how emerging technologies can influence persuasion and attitude change in online settings. His extensive research, supported by government and industry funding, has garnered significant recognition in academic circles and the media.
Dr. Kalyanaraman's profound interest lies in leveraging immersive media platforms to create, evaluate, and disseminate messages aimed at enhancing the well-being of individuals and society. His current research aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Goals Program, tackling crucial topics like climate science and healthy eating.
