Spencer Gopaul is a dedicated Community Engagement and Social Impact Professional with a rich background encompassing 5 years of experience in diverse fields including community outreach, public speaking, small business development, database management, marketing, communications, and public engagement programs in Metropolitan DC.
Currently, Spencer holds the esteemed position of Commissioner at the Commission on African-American Affairs, where he offers valuable advice to the Mayor, Council, and the public on matters concerning the African-American communities, particularly those with low economic, education, or health indicators. Spencer also plays a crucial role in analyzing the decline of African-American residents in the District, leveraging insights from the 2010 United States Census.

Spencer's professional journey includes roles such as an Analyst at the DC Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency, Paralegal Intern for the Records Department at Sidley Austin LLP, and a Public Policy Analysis Intern at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He has also contributed his skills to diverse initiatives, including serving as a Campaign Advertisement for Argentine Mayor Francisco "Barba" Gutierrez at the City of Quilmes, Argentina, and as a Media Relations and Governmental Relations Intern at WMATA.
