Spencer Shulem is a seasoned entrepreneur and product builder who has a knack for creating products that enhance people's lives. He started his first business at the age of 12 by creating a virtual private server with a unique take on the popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. Later, he created a review vlog and website called Elite Nerds, which reached over 1.3 million hits a month, and a mobile app called "App List."
Spencer's entrepreneurial journey continued as he founded WeDo, a wellness consumer product that became the #1 life manager for students at over 800 schools. As CEO and founder of WeDo, he oversaw a product that had 20x the retention of the top products in its space, 3x the paid conversion, and a 10:1 LTV:CAC ratio.
Spencer's expertise has been honed through education at institutions such as Stanford University, High Point University, and General Assembly. He has studied fields such as Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Business, Marketing & Accounting, User Experience, Entrepreneurship/Product/Data Science, and Dos Pueblos High School.
As an industry expert, Spencer has served as a product advisor and OnDeck Fellow, consulting for startups on product development. He was also the first product hire and (Interim) Head of Product at Shogun, an eCommerce platform with over 12,000 stores. Currently, Spencer is the CEO of BuildBetter.
