Soraya Bornaz

Soraya Bornaz is a versatile professional with a background in research and development engineering, teaching, and computational design. Currently serving as a project manager at MOMA in Paris, she brings a wealth of experience in technical management in multicultural, high-tech R&D settings.

With a diverse skill set, Soraya's expertise spans across various domains including product development, computational mechanics, structural engineering, modeling & simulation, biodesign, digital fabrication, reservoir management, data mining, and massive optimization. Her work has covered industries such as oil and gas, building technologies, and new materials.

Soraya's academic journey includes preparatory studies at Lycée Janson de Sailly for entry into the French 'Grandes Ecoles,' an Executive Master in Design by Data, Computational Design, Digital Manufacturing, and Building Technologies from École nationale des ponts et chaussées, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering & Computational Mechanics with Honors from Ecole normale supérieure, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a focus on probability from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI).

Throughout her career, Soraya has engaged with various organizations, holding positions such as project manager at Modélisation, Mesures et Application (MoMA), engineering scientist at CITA and Noumena, senior product development engineer at Schlumberger, and teaching roles at the French Ministry of National Education. She has also undertaken roles in research and development, mechanical design, and space engineering divisions, showcasing her versatility and broad expertise in different fields.
