Sonny Sidhu
SVP, Entertainment and Media Tech at PSB Insights
Sonny Sidhu is a prominent figure in the fields of media, game design, and entertainment market research, having transitioned from a media scholar to a game designer and eventually to an entertainment market researcher and consumer insights specialist. With a focus on emerging technological and cultural platforms, Sonny leads research teams for leading technology companies and content studios, particularly in gaming, fandom, user-generated content, and new interactive/immersive entertainment forms.
Educationally, Sonny Sidhu holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Comparative Media Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Film and Media Studies from Swarthmore College, and a high school diploma with a senior project concentration in digital filmmaking from Kent County High School.
Throughout his career, Sonny has held various key positions including Senior Vice President, Vice President, and Senior Director roles in Entertainment & Media Tech at PSB. He has also worked as an Associate Designer at Insomniac Games, an Instructor at MIT on game design and storytelling, and as a Lead Designer & Producer at the MIT Game Lab. Additionally, Sonny has contributed as a Teaching Assistant at MIT and as a Research Assistant at the Imagination, Computation, and Expression Laboratory. He also has experience in journalism, editing, and hosting at War News Radio.
