Songyan Hou

Songyan Hou is a fun-loving individual always eager to explore new things.

He holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering with a remarkable GPA of 3.915/4.0 from Columbia University in the City of New York. Additionally, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering with a GPA of 3.87/4.0 from Zhejiang University. Songyan also broadened his horizons as an exchange student focusing on American Culture at the University of California, Los Angeles, scoring a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0.

With a strong educational background, Songyan has gained diverse experience in various organizations. Currently, he serves as a Senior Software Engineer at News Break. Previously, he held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Uber and accumulated experience as a Software Engineer II and Software Engineer I at the same company. Prior to Uber, Songyan honed his skills as an Intern in the Suite Interface Engineering Team at VMware. His involvement as a Delegate at the ASES 2015 global summit, along with his roles as a Student Researcher at Zhejiang University and as a Research Assistant at UC Davis, showcase his commitment to continuous learning and growth.
