Sonali Chowdhary is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in value chains, market development, small and micro-enterprise finance, livelihoods, rural and natural resource-based business.

With a diverse geographical experience that includes countries such as India, USA, Indonesia, Kenya, Cambodia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Jamaica, Sonali has a global perspective on international development.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management/Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, a Master of Science in International Development from the University of Bath, a Master of Science in Agriculture specializing in Plant Physiology, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, both from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University.

Throughout her career, Sonali has worked with prestigious organizations in various capacities, such as being an Independent Consultant in International Development, specializing in financial inclusion and livelihoods at Sambodhi Research and Communications Pvt. Ltd., and contributing to women's economic empowerment program design at The World Bank, among others.

She has also held roles at UNDP, The SEEP Network, Habitat for Humanity International, and BASIX, where she has led and supported initiatives related to livelihoods, economic empowerment, enterprise development, market strategies, and housing finance.
