Sona Rai

Sona Rai is an interdisciplinary communications and marketing executive with extensive leadership experience in nonprofits, government, and media.

She holds a degree in EMPA, International Economy Policy from Columbia University's SIPA, as well as a B.A. in Political Science, English, and International Relations from the University of Rochester.

Sona has a rich professional history, having served in key communication roles at various prestigious organizations such as Data & Society Research Institute, Vera Institute of Justice, City of New York, New American Economy, Quartz, Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDEF), among others.

Her roles have ranged from Director of Communications to Senior Account Director, demonstrating her versatile skill set and ability to adapt to diverse environments.

With a background that includes media strategy, public relations, and marketing, Sona Rai brings a wealth of expertise to any organization she is a part of.
