Solomon Hailu is a Partner at March Capital, where he focuses on investments in artificial intelligence applications, vertical software, and fintech. Born in Ethiopia and raised near Washington, D.C., Solomon earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. Before joining March Capital in September 2020, he was a Principal at Tusk Venture Partners, where he invested in early-stage technology companies, partnering with notable firms such as Lemonade, Coinbase, and Bird.245
Solomon has been recognized for his contributions to venture capital, being named in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for Venture Capital in 2021 and Business Insider's 2022 Rising Stars list. He is also involved in initiatives to advance diversity in venture capital, serving on the board of BLCK VC, which aims to empower Black venture capitalists.345 Outside of his professional pursuits, Solomon is an outdoor enthusiast and participates in marathons, including his favorite, the New York City Marathon.2
