Snigdha Sur is the Founder and CEO of The Juggernaut, a media platform dedicated to providing in-depth coverage of South Asian news and culture. Born in Chhattisgarh, India, and raised in New York City, Sur has an impressive academic background, holding an MBA from Harvard University and a degree in Economics and South Asian Studies from Yale University. She also spent five months coding at Flatiron School.13
Before founding The Juggernaut in 2019, Sur worked at McKinsey & Company, where she held roles as a Business Analyst and Senior Associate, advising various media and tech companies. The Juggernaut was created out of a desire to address the lack of nuanced media representation of South Asians in Western media, which often focuses on poverty and stereotypes. The platform started as a free newsletter and has since evolved into a subscription-based service, offering original stories that center on South Asian identity and culture.234 Sur is fluent in Hindi, Bengali, and Mandarin, and she has expressed a passion for Bollywood and literature.13
