Screen WM is the strategic lead organisation for a growing, dynamic creative sector with a core remit to work with government, and other partners, to ensure that the screen media industries are supported, promoted and developed.

Specific Achievements include:

Developing and implementing an innovative Archive, Exhibition and Film Education strategy across the West Midlands 

Implementation of a Film and Media Education ‘Hub’ model across the West Midlands as previously rolled out throughout the North West. Management and Ditribution of Annual Film Culture Fund Budgets. 

Jointly secured finance through the Screen Heritage UK Strategy to support the sustainability of the Midlands Archive Sector into the future (HLF Contract)

Account Management of clients; Grant In Aid and Lottery Delegation, Business Development support and access to New Markets 

Chair of the British Film Institute supported Rural Exhibition Pilot- Shropshire Screen, a world first initiative to promote touring digital (3D) exhibition into rural communities

Head of Education, Archives and Audience Development (Film Culture)

Vision + Media is the North West Regional Screen Agency who’s key mission is to ‘Champion the regions film, television and media industry.’ As the lead for the Cultural Sector, I influenced local policy and implemented a cohesive strategy for Exhibition, Archive and Film Education across the North West. I also managed the delegation of the Regional Investment for England funding streams and initiated a number of UK first pilots.

Developing a comprehensive and inclusive Audience Development and Film Education strategy for the North West’s Film Exhibition and Distribution Sector 

Working with strategic partners to ensure a synchronised ‘win-win’ approach to all shared visions for the future

Effective conduit between the regions ‘film/media’ sector and national strategic partners such as The British Film Institute, BAFTA, First Light, the Independent Film Office and the UK Film Council

Working throughout Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Warrington and Merseyside to extend links and partnerships where they really matter.

Advocacy, support and distribution of Lottery/Regional Investment Fund England monies to clients including UK flagship cross arts venues, high profile Film Festival and publically valuable community initatives.

North West representative in the development of a UK Wide Strategy for Film Education in partnership with the UK Film Council and British Film Institute

North West representative in the development of a UK Wide Strategy for Heritage and facilitator of a key Archives initiative for 2008 Capital of Culture to digitalise and make available online the Moving Image Story of Liverpool
