Smriti Chaulagain

Smriti Chaulagain is a Hydraulic Engineer at Tetra Tech, currently based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico, where she has contributed significantly to research in hydraulics and water resources engineering. Her expertise includes hydrodynamic modeling using tools such as HEC-RAS, SMS, SRH-2D, and DFLOW, as well as geospatial analysis.134

In addition to her technical skills, Chaulagain has been recognized for her academic achievements, having recently defended her Ph.D. with distinction.5 She is also involved with the International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) as a member of their Young Professionals group.2 Her work at Tetra Tech focuses on applying her research and engineering skills to real-world hydraulic challenges.
