Smita Aggarwal

Smita Aggarwal is a leading fintech investor and thought leader with over 25 years of experience. She has held leadership positions at notable institutions such as Omidyar Network, Fullerton India, Reserve Bank of India, and ICICI Bank. She specializes in venture capital, micro-insurance, digital banking, financial inclusion, and financial regulation. Smita is currently the Global Investments Advisor at Flourish Ventures, a fintech-focused fund within the Omidyar Group that invests in startups advancing financial health and inclusion in Asia. Prior to this, she led numerous new investments at Omidyar Network in companies such as NeoGrowth Credit, Indifi, Kaleidofin, and GramCover. Smita is also a start-up coach and mentor with Catalyst Fund and Village Capital, and a guest faculty member at NYU Stern School of Business. Smita is listed among the 100 women VC investors in the recently published book "Women Who Venture" and has spoken at international fintech events such as the Singapore Fintech Festival and the AFI Global Policy Forum in Russia.
