Sloane Mercer is a senior student at Washington University in St. Louis, pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Accounting with a minor in Economics. She advocates for an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, aiming to apply her knowledge to real-world scenarios by integrating her expertise in numbers with economic and business acumen.
Outside of academics, Sloane engages in giving campus tours to prospective students at WashU and their families. She also holds the role of Treasurer at the Association for Women in Mathematics, where she manages budgets and organizes events to promote gender equality in various fields, fostering a supportive community for women and allies.
