Sloane Mercer

Sloane Mercer is a senior student at Washington University in St. Louis, pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Accounting with a minor in Economics. She advocates for an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, aiming to apply her knowledge to real-world scenarios by integrating her expertise in numbers with economic and business acumen.

Outside of academics, Sloane engages in giving campus tours to prospective students at WashU and their families. She also holds the role of Treasurer at the Association for Women in Mathematics, where she manages budgets and organizes events to promote gender equality in various fields, fostering a supportive community for women and allies.

Sloane Mercer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with a second major in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis and a High School Diploma from Trinity Preparatory School. She has actively contributed to organizations such as being an Accounting Tutor at WashU's Olin Business School, serving as a Washington University Student Tour Leader, working as a Summer Associate at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and interning at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in the Treasury department.
