Slav Petrov

Slav Petrov is a Distinguished Scientist / Senior Research Director at Google, heading a global team focused on natural language understanding and machine learning research. His contributions have earned him prestigious Best Paper Awards and have enhanced language comprehension for billions of users across various Google products like Web Search, Assistant, Ads, Translate, and Chrome.

In addition to his significant role at Google, Slav Petrov has received the 2014 John Atanasoff Award from the President of Bulgaria and achieved the title of World Champion at RoboCup 2004. He also has a rich academic background, having taught Statistical Natural Language Processing at New York University for an extended period.
