Slade Sevier

Slade Sevier is a seasoned attorney with a strong focus on litigation and transactional law, specializing in construction, real estate, development, and general business matters.

With a significant portion of his practice dedicated to mediation, arbitration, litigation, and appellate work, Slade handles a wide range of general business disputes and represents various parties involved in construction and real estate-related conflicts.

His expertise encompasses issues such as construction and design defects, scheduling, disruption and delay claims, codes violations, licensing requirements, payment disputes, mechanics’ and materialmen’s liens, lease conflicts, property disputes, copyright infringement, eminent domain, personal injury, and consumer protection act claims.

In addition to his litigation work, Slade Sevier also engages in transactional activities, including drafting and negotiating construction, design, and other agreements linked to real estate development.

He has extensive experience with healthcare construction and development projects, as well as familiarity with the American Institute of Architects (AIA Documents) and other design and construction contract forms.

Slade Sevier's educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, Graduate Studies in Environmental Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, magna cum laude, also from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

His professional experience includes serving as a Partner at K&L Gates and holding roles at various prominent law firms such as Dickinson Wright PLLC, Adams and Reese LLP, and Bass, Berry & Sims, PLC.

Outside of his legal career, he has been actively involved in community service, having served as a Board Member at Safe Haven Family Shelter and as a Committee Member at the Metropolitan Nashville Stormwater Management Committee.

Prior to his legal career, Slade Sevier worked as a Professional Engineer and Project Manager at Barge Cauthen and Associates and as a Surveyor at MEC, Inc.
