Skánia Florestal is the CEO and Founder of HBCUMADE, a digital platform designed to connect students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Founded in 2020, HBCUMADE aims to bridge the opportunity gap faced by graduates by fostering community engagement and networking opportunities among its users.14

Florestal has a background as a digital agency owner, where she has demonstrated a strong ability to integrate creativity with strategic planning, which has been pivotal in the success of HBCUMADE.2 Her leadership has been recognized in various forums, including her recent participation in Techstars, where HBCUMADE was officially launched across multiple platforms.3

In addition to her role at HBCUMADE, Florestal previously led another venture called THE VOEU AGENCY for over ten years, showcasing her extensive experience in entrepreneurship and digital strategy.4
