Simone Castello is an accomplished communications professional with a diverse background in journalism and digital marketing. With experience in SEO copywriting, social media management, and website building, Simone has worked for a variety of private clients and advertising agencies before transitioning to her current role at the University of Cambridge. Simone is an expert in creating effective marketing strategies and has achieved impressive results, growing a website from around 8000 visitors to over 63,000 in less than a year. Alongside her role as Violence Research Centre Administrator & Webmaster at the Institute of Criminology, Simone has also held positions as a lecturer and trainer at both the University of Third Age, Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin, Cambridge campus.
