Simone Bolshaw

Simone Bolshaw is an accomplished professional with a strong academic background in Social and Political Sciences, earning a First Class MA (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge.

With a wealth of experience in the public sector, Simone has held key roles at the Department for Education such as Deputy Director Digital Data Comms and User Achievement for Post 16, and previously as Deputy Director Change Programme, Deputy Director of Higher Education Reform and Covid-19 response, and Head of Higher and Further Education Strategy.

Simone has also contributed to key initiatives within the Department for Education including roles such as Deputy Director of the Student Loans Company Tailored Review and Head of the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund Round 2 (TLIF).

Prior to her tenure at the Department for Education, Simone gained valuable consulting experience as a Public Sector Specialist Consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Her broad public sector experience also includes roles at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) where she served as the Head of Family Policy, the Social Fund Reform Policy Lead, and a Jobcentre Manager.
