Simon Woodside

Simon Woodside is the Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer at MedStack, a startup focused on solving compliance, privacy, and security challenges for digital health app developers.

With a background in software engineering, Simon's journey in tech began with a passion for Apple products, leading him to work with Apple in California on projects like Mac OS X 10.1 and the Intel processor transition.

Prior to MedStack, Simon founded Semacode, the first QR code scanning app, and later established Monolith Interactive, a mobile app studio with a focus on healthcare applications and clients like GM, Kik, and UnitedHealthCare.

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Simon is actively involved in the tech community as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders, Hacking Health, and mentoring startups through The Forge. In his spare time, he enjoys playing timpani with a local orchestra.

Simon's educational background includes a High School Diploma Summa Cum Laude from Westdale Secondary School and a BMath from the University of Waterloo.
