Simon Woods

Simon Woods is the current General Manager at AustCham Shanghai, where he leads the operational team to provide value to members of the Chamber and the Chinese-Australian communities.

With a wealth of operational, China, and global management experience, Simon has been living and working in Shanghai, China since 2016.

Prior to his time in China, Simon gained over 10 years of experience in Business Project Management across diverse industries such as processing plants, finance, security systems, and logistics in Australia.

Simon Woods holds educational credentials including a Bachelor of Computing in Software Development and Computer Systems from Deakin University, as well as certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training, and has studied Six Sigma methodologies at SAI Global and George Group.

Before his role as the General Manager at AustCham Shanghai, Simon held various positions in reputable organizations such as Founder & Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Experience Officer, Interim China Operations Manager, and Head of Client Success at Juwai.com.

Simon also served in roles such as Network Blueprint Project Manager and Business Project Manager at Australia Post, National Six Sigma Black Belt at Tyco Fire & Security, Business Transformation Project Lead at American Express, and Trainee Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Project Manager at Bartter Pty Limited.

Throughout his career, Simon Woods has demonstrated his expertise in business operations, project management, client success, lean methodologies, and operational excellence.
