Simon Gwozdz

Simon Gwozdz is the main architect behind Equatorial Space, a launcher startup in Singapore, where he applies his entrepreneurial skills, business development acumen, and leadership talents to advance next-generation launch capability for smallsat clients globally.

Starting as a community project during his university days, Simon has transformed Equatorial Space into one of the prominent launcher startups beyond the conventional industry landscape.

Despite being self-taught in rocket propulsion and orbital mechanics, Simon's primary focus lies in exploring the intricate correlation between different launch sites and the practical utilization of diverse orbits accessible from these locations.

He has shared his vision for Equatorial Space and the broader Southeast Asian Space Tech ecosystem at numerous international events and conferences, addressing audiences varying from the general public to senior industry professionals, and engaging with various regional and global media outlets like Channel NewsAsia, Nikkei Asian Review, and SpaceWatch.Global.

As a naturalized Singapore Citizen, Simon also pursues outdoor activities and sports such as swimming, Krav Maga, and hiking.

Simon pursued a Bachelor of Science in Project & Facility Management from the National University of Singapore and completed A Levels in the Arts Stream at Millennia Institute.

His professional journey includes roles such as CEO and Founder at Equatorial Space Systems, Student Mentor at Advisory Singapore, Volunteer at Singapore Space & Technology Ltd, Financial Advisor at Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, and Motor Transport Operator at the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
