Simon Bernard

Simon Bernard is the CEO & Co-founder of Plastic Odyssey Expedition, a pioneering initiative aimed at addressing the global plastic crisis while creating employment opportunities in local communities worldwide.

Simon has a diverse educational background, having studied a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English at Westminster Adult Education College in London, a Baccalauréat Scientifique at Lycée Pierre Guéguin, and obtained Merchant Navy Degree and Master Degree in Maritime Sciences from ENSM, Ecole nationale supérieure maritime.

Prior to founding Plastic Odyssey Expedition, Simon Bernard served as a Public Interest Entrepreneur at Ministère de la Transition écologique et solidaire and worked as an Officer of The Watch at Brittany Ferries. He also contributed as a Trainer for the School in Ship project at Brittany Ferries.
